Families are Talking

Parents and those caring for children of any age are invited to join Planned Parenthood and POWER at a workshop to learn when and how to talk with children about sexuality and how to answer their questions.

Activities include: discussion of childhood sexual development, deciding which values to share, and skill building around communication and answering questions.

October 17th, 5:30pm – 8:00pm at the Planned Parenthood Education Office, located on the corner of 5th Ave and Adams St, Olympia.

Dinner and childcare provided.

October POWER Outage

Join us for October’s POWER Outage, Monday, October 3rd!

Accompaniment, Allyship, and Solidarity: A Discussion of Strategies for Movement Building

What does it look like to truly support one another as we work toward social justice? How can we use our privilege to interrupt oppression rather than perpetuate it? What has worked in the past, and what mistakes should we not repeat?

Every first Monday of the month, POWER holds a POWER Outage, an opportunity for low-income parents and allies to get together to do something special and build community. There is a potluck from 5:30-6, and then childcare is provided from 6-8 so that parents can participate in the workshop.

If you have any questions, please contact Sfirah at (360)352-9716 or by email at poweroutletplugin@gmail.com. Facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/event
